I'M BAAAAAAACK AND FLYING HIGH!!! HAVE YOU MISSED YOUR FREEBIES???

>> Sunday, December 30, 2007

I hope y'all have had a MOST incredible holiday celebration and that you will be sending out the year of 2007 in style as you ring in the NEW year of 2008 tomorrow night!!!

We rolled in from our trip to Vancouver at around 3:30 am this morning and I am plum-tuckered out today as I ended up getting the "throat thing" that Joan had when we arrived and have two sick fur babies to tend to.

Chloe' and Max both have ear infections and Chloe' is dealing with something else as well. Mark and his fiance', Jessica, took them both to the vet on Friday. Our outdoor puppies are now indoors for a few weeks until they heal. We may just keep them indoors as Chloe' is getting older and they have both been indoor dogs in the past and are VERY well-behaved! They are just LOVING the toasty indoors as they sleep near the woodstove during these COLD temps! Awww .... too cute they are!

I will catch y'all up on our GRAND adventure (SOOOO much to share) tomorrow for I really need to get a GOOD night's sleep, but I wanted to post three more brag book pages for you that I had planned on posting while away. The main PC needed to be reprogrammed for the Internet and I got a bit TOO frustrated trying to use the touch pad on one of the laptops (I'm SO used to using a mouse!) on top of being kept VERY busy during our stay!!!

I shall work on the remainder of the pages over the next couple of days.

I was in such a rush before leaving for Vancouver that I forgot to mention that all FIVE of my kits in my 3S store are on sale for ONLY $2.00 until next weekend. You can find them HERE!

Nighty, night everyone ... see you tomorrow!!! I've missed y'all and hope you have some WONDERFUL Christmas stories to share with me!!!

BIG HUGS,
Linda

P.S. The preview zipped up with #4 is that of #3 and vice-versa!!! No biggie, but figured I'd let you know I figured it out as I am uploading them tonight!!! I sure hope 2008 starts out SMOOTHLY!!! ROFL!

TWAS' THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS ....

>> Monday, December 24, 2007

WOO HOO and we're outta here!!! Our sleigh is all packed with goodies and holiday cheer! Fueled for a LONG night's travel to Vancouver are our SIX (not eight) gas-saving cylin-DEERS!!! Oh SO silly, yes that would be me ... if only I could figure a way, I'd figure out a way to sneak into my daughter's via the chimney!!!

I have a SPECIAL poem to share by permission from Sharon (thank you Sharon!), aka Scrapat4914, that I read on her blog the other day. Many of us have had or still have family and friends deployed to the Middle East and I thought this a WONDERFUL way to pay tribute to ALL of our soldier's past, present and future for their courageous heroism.

THANK YOU for helping to keep me SAFE and warm at night, for allowing me to continue to live in a country with the FREEDOM to be me, to vote as I please, worship as I please, to LOVE whomever I please, to wear what I please, live where I please, work where I please, to have as many children as I please, and where I was brought up to say PLEASE, thank you and your welcome and to have respect for all! I could go on and on as I know y'all could too! My heart and thoughts are with each family and for those whom we are helping.

A Different Christmas Poem

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,
I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.
My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,
My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.

Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,
Transforming the yard to a winter delight.
The sparkling lights in the tree I believe,
Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.

My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,
Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep.
In perfect contentment, or so it would seem,
So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.

The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near,
But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear
Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know,
Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.

My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,
And I crept to the door just to see who was near.
Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,
A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.

A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old,
Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold.
Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,
Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.

"What are you doing?" I asked without fear,
"Come in this moment, it's freezing out here!
Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve,
You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!"

For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift,
Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts..
To the window that danced with a warm fire's light
Then he sighed and he said "Its really all right,

I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night.
So that your family can sleep without fright.
It's my duty to stand at the front of the line,
That separates you from the darkest of times.

No one had to ask or beg or implore me,
I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me.
My Gramps died at 'Pearl on a day in December,"
Then he sighed, "That's a Christmas 'Gram always remembers"

My dad stood his watch in the jungles of 'Nam',
And now it is my turn and so, here I am.
I've not seen my own son in more than a while,
But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile.

Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag,
The red, white, and blue... an American flag.
I can live through the cold and the being alone,
Away from my family, my house and my home.

I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet,
I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat.
I can carry the weight of killing another,
Or lay down my life with my sister and brother..

Who stand at the front against any and all,
To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall."
"So go back inside," he said, "harbor no fright,
Your family is waiting and I'll be all right."

"But isn't there something I can do, at the least,
"Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast?
It seems all too little for all that you've done,
For being away from your wife and your son."
Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,
"Just tell us you love us, and never forget.
To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone,
To stand your own watch, no matter how long.
For when we come home, either standing or dead,
To know you remember we fought and we bled.
Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,
That we mattered to you as you mattered to us."

Wishing you ALL, each and every one of you who do celebrate, the MOST glorious Christmas day with your loved ones.

Lots of love and BIG, BIG hugs,
Linda

P.S. I apologize for the casual packaging on the brag book pages - my family is patiently awaiting me to finish so that we can, "hit the road Jack"!!! ROFL!!!

I will miss you and will visit my blog as often as I am able. I have added a small image of *Win'tree Weather* in the right-hand column so that you can click the link each day to download while I am away! I hope I am not forgetting anything!!! If I haven't, it is a MIRACLE!!!

I have a total of FOUR brag book pages to upload starting tonight and until I come back, at which time I will complete the set for you!!!

MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO Y'ALL!!!

LATE OR EARLY??? NONETHELESS ..... MORE HOLIDAY GOODIES FOR Y'ALL AND DAY #24 OF *WIN'TREE WEATHER*!

>> Sunday, December 23, 2007

Hello darlins'!!!

Am I LATE? Or am I EARLY? Y'all be the judge!!! ROFL! No matter, I come bearing MORE *Holiday Sparkle* and I think this just MIGHT be my favorite thus far!!!

I'm short on words tonight as I have less than 24 hours to finish wrapping gifts, printing photos for a few of those gifts, laundry (endless, isn't it?), cleaning house (I DO NOT like having to come home to a mess we leave behind while in RUSH mode!!!) and packing our bags!!!

GOOD NEWS!!! I will have FIVE of my six children together for the FIRST time in over a decade! Son number one (Matt) called from work yesterday (this was SO cute) and greets me with, "HO, HO, HO ... I get to GO!" I chuckled and was SO excited to hear the GOOD news! Now the deal with that is he was filling in for son number two (Mark - the soon to be daddy). Both boys work at our local market and Mark is assistant manager in the meat department and Matt is a clerk. Matt has had previous training in the meat department and he was the ONLY replacement for Mark after his minor car accident. So, now that Mark is returning to work the day after Christmas, they were kind enough to give Matt Wednesday through Sunday off for our trip!!! WOO HOO!!! How MUCH better can it get??? Uhm ... well, son number two and his fiance' getting to come too??? LOL! Hey, I'm counting my blessings and will have NO complaints!!! Also, Mark and Jessica are taking care of the house and the furbabies for us!!! Luke and John are both without jobs at the moment (they were both working with a general contractor and the gig is up - or should that be, house!) and that leaves them both free to "roam about the country"!!!

Oh, and Mark (son #2) had to come and show-off his NEW used car purchase yesterday and then drove down from his place to deliver Luke his NEW used car this afternoon!!! YAY!!! Things are moving along quite nicely for a change! GOOD things come to those who wait ... and wait ... and wait ... did I say, "wait"??? WOO HOO! I'm sure ALL of us Moms agree, it doeth our hearts good when our babies are moving right along in a positive direction!

Now all Luke needs is his driver's license, car insurance and he is good-to-go as Robert already has a job lined up for him where he works!!! John is next I hope!!! Luke and John are both now 18 and we live in a "pocket" in a small community where it is difficult to get around (no bus line) and jobs are fairly scarce. We are, however, growing rapidly and the next five years should prove to be rather interesting. I'll let you know when we get our first fast-food restaurant as that is usually a good indication that your township now qualifies to be recognized!!! Believe me, Robert and I neither one are in any hurry to see any of it happen!

And NO, I am not able to find shoes here where I live as there are NO stores that sell them! Oh, wait a minute, I almost forgot - does the golf course count where they sell golf shoes? LOL! My favorite place to shop for just about whatever we need is, of course, Wal-Mart and that is about a 30 minute drive east of us. Sonora has a Mervyn's, Staples, Gottchalk's, TJ Max, Ross, Sears (very small one) and Fashion Bug which are among some of the more well-known chains here in Northern California.

We did a bit of shopping at Wal-Mart today after dropping Matt of at work and were really surprised, once again, not to find a maddening crowd! It was actually quite pleasant and the squeals of delight from small children made my whole day!!!

Hmmm ... seems I said I'd be of few words tonight??? Do you think that humanly possible? He, he ...

I hope you like this installment of *Holiday Sparkle 2* and I will be posting something for you tomorrow before we leave!

I hope EVERYONE is able to kick back and relax a bit and to TRULY enjoy wherever you are and whomever you are with!

Love to all,
Linda

IT'S FANTABULOUS FREEBIE FRIDAY Y'ALL!!!

>> Friday, December 21, 2007

Gosh, I can't believe it's Friday already!!! Two more days until our ROAD TRIP!!! Number two son, who was in a minor car accident nearly two weeks ago, won't be able to join us as he HAS to work after being off for two weeks as instructed by his physician. Number one son may not be able to make it either - BUMMER! Both boys work at the same place and number one son has been filling in for number two son! This would have been the FIRST Christmas with all six of my children together in over a decade, however, I am happy just to be able to spend time with my girls and the twins (now 18) will be coming with us. Oh YES, and then there is my meeting Kimberly Stewart, a fellow designer at 3Scrapateers!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME!!! I am really SUPER excited!

Anybody traveling this Christmas? Out of state? Out of the country? Inquiring minds would like to know!!!

FANTABULOUS FREEBIE FRIDAY and MORE glitz for you along with Day 22 of *Win'tree Weather*! Have y'all been collecting all the pieces each day? It's SO easy to miss a day here and there. For those not able to collect the pieces, *Win'tree Weather* will be available for sale in my store at 3Scrapateers on the first of January!

I am on my way to bed as we have to get up early in the morning to travel out of town to find my winter shoes and I need to help Luke finish wrapping his gifts for his girlfriend as he will be delivering them to her tomorrow!

Have a MOST splendid weekend finishing up whatever you need to for Christmas! Make sure to pamper yourselves a bit too ... a hot cup of cocoa, a hot bubble bath, a glass of wine, a nap, some Christmas movies or even curling up with a GOOD book for a bit can surely help to take the edge off, eh!!!

BON SCRAPATIT,
Linda

HAPPY "30th" BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!!! MORE RED AND GREEN GLITTER PLUS DAY #21 OF *WIN'TREE WEATHER*!!!

>> Thursday, December 20, 2007

My eyes are SWOLLEN from the tears of JOY shed throughout the day as my FIRSTBORN, April Dawn, celebrates her "30th" birthday tonight!!! While speaking with her the second time today, which was right at the moment of her birth (6:50 pm PST), I rather humorously mentioned that she was "30" today and asked, "how'd that happen"??? ROFL! "It just happens Mom", she politely replied!!!

Ahhhh .... I can't even begin to tell you the FLOOD of memories that have poured through my heart and out of my eyeballs today!!! I do know that MANY of you can relate though so I'll let y'all dwell on your OWN precious memories and get on down to business!!!

WOWSERS!!! Do y'all LOVE the TRADITIONAL red and green, or what? LOL!!! WOO HOO!!! Thank you SO much for ALL of the LOVIN' today (how much joy can a girl contain in one day!!!) and I am just TICKLED "red and green" that y'all LOVE glitter in more than just silver and gold!!! He, he, he ...

Before creating tonight's freebie, I had a bit of FUN playing with PURPLE! And, why, might you ask? Well, if y'all have not been to Sharon's blog yet to view her GORGEOUS Christmas tree adorned in multiple shades of PURPLE, you've just got to click on over there and take a peek! You won't be sorry, I assure you! She also has a LITTLE cutie pie that you've got to see too!

Sharon's Blog

Nothing fancy, but I just couldn't help myself and I hope to come up with a few more items for Sharon and ALL of the other PURPLE PRINCESSES out there (yes, I'm talking about you Ms. Laurie)!!! I hope you like it Sharon!

SWEET DREAMS y'all and you know what tomorrow is, right?

Hugs,
Linda

IT'S A CANDY CANE CHRISTMAS AND OTHER GOODIES!!!

>> Tuesday, December 18, 2007

HO, HO, HO, HO .... if this 'OL Santa isn't tuckered out already!!! This makes for two days this week that I've found myself unable to keep my eyes open in the evening hours and have been FORCED to close them and take a nap!!! I had taken a break away from the computer and was helping to finish up a puzzle that has been occupying space on our dining room table now for weeks! Of course, I was working on a big patch of white that was difficult enough on it's own, but the glare from the lighting above the table put quite a strain on my eyes. Before I knew it I was yawning uncontrollably, joined Robert on the sofa (we have two recliners), covered my legs with a throw and fell asleep within moments of pushing the MAGIC reclining button!!!

We are finally getting some MUCH needed rain! To the point of flood warnings in portions of the Bay Area and winter warnings in the Sierras! But here in Copperopolis, we are in what I refer to as a "pocket" where we, for the most part, remain safe from any threat of flooding, earthquakes, heavy snowfall, etc. That's NOT to say that ANY of those could NEVER happen, but they are not known to happen historically!!! I am hoping for a bit of snow this year. LOL! Now watch, it'll snow while we are away and where it most likely will be snowing already!!!

I was gifted with a BEAUTIFUL surprise late this afternoon from my son Luke's girlfriend. Tessa made me a GORGEOUS Christmas arrangement in her floral arranging class at school. I was so touched (still am)! This LOVELY arrangement is made up of red roses and white daisies (images below!) with a candle in the middle and adorned with a SWEET snowman ribbon!!! How'd she know that I LOVE snowmen??? She said that she only had two to choose from and this was the prettiest - how COOL is that!!! Notice the SILVER glitter??? LOL! How COOL is THAT!!! THANK YOU TESSA! You are such a SWEETHEART!

A portion of tonight's "freebie" is another request from Leea for a RED-GLITTERED candy cane!!! So, I thought while I was at it, I would make a few papers and embellishments in the TRADITIONAL red and green!

I hope you like and y'all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!!

Hugs,
Linda

*HOLIDAY SPARKLE* #18, *WIN'TREE WEATHER* DAY 18 AND I HEAR .... SILVER BELLS!!!

>> Monday, December 17, 2007

Only ONE week left y'all!!! OMGosh!!! I am trying SO hard to remain on an even keel (snicker, snicker) while attempting to complete all of the projects I need to before leaving Christmas Eve!

My posts will probably be a bunch of jibber-jabber as my brain is going in a zillion different directions and the line is broken that I normally use to try and REEL all of my thoughts in with!!! ROFL! Yeah, like that made REAL sense too, huh??? LOL! Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!

Tonight's edition of *HOLIDAY SPARKLE*, #18, includes a couple of folded rick-rack and bows that match two background papers from #9 and #10. Also included is a SPECIAL request from Leea - SILVER BELLS! I hope they are what you were looking for Leea and that y'all enjoy them as well. The bells have a hanger so that you can easily attach a bow or a string from previous parts of *HOLIDAY SPARKLE*.

SCRAP HAPPY y'all and I'll see you tomorrow night!

Hugs,
Linda

OH YEAH!!! *HOLIDAY SPARKLE* #17 and *WIN'TREE WEATHER, DAY 16!!! ARE WE HAVING FUN YET???

>> Saturday, December 15, 2007

We just got home a bit ago and I think we completed MOST all of our shopping at ONE store in ONE evening and that even included dinner out for the first time in just about forever!!!

Robert and I had a WONDERFUL time and were pretty proud of ourselves when all was said and DONE! We do need to go back out tomorrow to do some grocery shopping and I need to find a new pair of clogs for wintertime. I LIVE in sandals as long as I can get away with it, but it's TOO cold now and the next best thing are clogs! I've seen some REALLY cute ones recently so I am hoping to find some similar as they are usually about the MOST comfortable shoes for me. I just LOVE anything with an open back!!!

LOL!!! We still need to find a tree too! We are discussing the possibility of getting an artificial tree next year. It is SO amazing HOW real they look anymore, not to mention that they are easier to care for and safer for everyone concerned!

Thank you to those who have given me INSPIRATION to make some GIFT BAGS!!! I have just got to share a couple of postings to the 3Scrapateers' "12 Days of Christmas" gallery where a couple of members have used my *Holiday Sparkle* and *Be'Clause It's Christmas* designs to make gift bags from a WONDERFUL template by designer, Ilona Havenaar! Now I'm challenging myself to whip up a couple of these beauties to take to Vancouver with us as a substitution for Christmas stockings! Thanks ladies!!! You ROCK!

Have a SUPER SUNDAY everyone!

Hugs,
Linda

WOO HOO!!!! IT'S FANTABULOUS FREEBIE FRIDAY!!! MORE *HOLIDAY SPARKLE* AND DAY 15 OF *WIN'TREE WEATHER*!!!

>> Friday, December 14, 2007

Okay, okay .... I'm guessing that y'all are MISSING the HOLIDAY SPARKLE!!! ROFL! Guess what??? It's BACK! I just needed to take a short break and do a little something different last night! Hope y'all didn't mind TOO much!!! LOL! Oh, and before I forget again, I designed our Christmas card for this year and I've posted a copy down at the BOTTOM of my blog where my slideshow is. I am going to print them four to a page and they will fit perfectly into the invitation sized envelopes! I hope you like it - MERRY CHRISTMAS from our house to yours!

Our Decemeber F.U.N. chats were INCREDIBLY awesome earlier today and this evening at 3Scrapateers! A BIG "thank you" to all of you that joined in the FUN, FELLOWSHIP and were able to collect the "13" additional FREEBIES!!! Were we ROCKIN', or what??? WOO HOO!!! A GIGANTIC "thank you" to Ms. Kimmi Stewart who was our HOSTESS with the MOSTEST at BOTH chats!!! Just TWO weeks from today, I hope, Ms. Kimmi and I shall be meeting each other in the flesh!!! WOO HOO!!!

For those of you that are not familiar with the F.U.N. kits and crops at 3Scrapateers, we have one every other month in which you are able to download an ENTIRE "mega" kit for FREE and then are asked to attend one of two chats held during the day to receive the PASSWORD to be able to unzip the files. Along with the password, we ALWAYS have AMPLE freebies to pass out at the chat as well. Today, there were "13" BEAUTIFUL quickpages!!! A VERY special SHOUT-OUT to my fellow designers who participated in this MAGNIFICENT collaboration of WINTRY delights!!! Y'all ROCK ... and then SOME!

We are FINALLY going shopping tomorrow NIGHT! Yes, I even said, NIGHT! Why? Well ... we were going to go BRIGHT and EARLY in the morning, however, number one son has to work from 9-5 and he REALLY wants to go with us! So, Robert is rearranging our day to include "sleeping in" (LOL, that's a joke right there I tell ya .... we're ALWAYS up early no matter HOW hard we try to get some extra z's!), a walk and some puttering around before picking Matt up from work and heading on up the hill to good 'ol Sonora! WHOOPEE ... we will get our tree!!! Which means ... I get to decorate after all!!! I was almost resolved to the fact that we will be away for a week and what's the sense when we won't even be here for Christmas. Well ... turns out that we will have the little guys here to celebrate when we return and they need to see a Christmas tree in daddy's house!!! I'm fine with the "3" small trees I decorate each year AND all of the lighted pine garlands, but the young ones just NEED to see that REAL Christmas tree all lit up! I do remember it being SO magical for me when I was a little girl. SHEESH ... when I was a BIG girl too!!! LOL!

Is EVERYBODY ready for Christmas??? Are you baking? Still shopping? Anybody doing ALL of their shopping online this year??? Are you traveling? Do you have a BABY celebrating his or her FIRST Christmas? What are some of your family's Christmas traditions? Do you repeat the same traditions EVERY year? Or do you try something new EACH year? I'd LOVE to hear what y'all have done, do and/or wish to do for Christmas!

Below, you will find the link to collect Day #15 of *Win'tree Weather* and right below that, the link to download *Holiday Sparkle* #16. Wishing you all a MOST wonderful weekend. Be safe and scrap HAPPY!!!

BIG HUGS,
Linda

First of all, to all of those inconvenienced by the mid-western ice storms, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that y'all BE SAFE first and foremost. I have only obtained information second-hand as I've not heard any news via radio or television. I do know that one of our designers just had her power restored today for the first time since Sunday. If anybody has any updates, I shall be grateful for any information that you may have. I know that some of y'all are expecting to get SNOW tomorrow. STAY WARM! And I think it is cold here in Northern California, where we have been experiencing freezing temps for over a week now, but nothing crippling. My heart really goes out to those affected by the storm. For this reason, the *Christmas Around The World* links are staying up until Christmas Eve. My thanks to Kimberly (Fishin'Mom) and ALL contributing designers for allowing them to remain so that those without power will have time to download them once they are back up and running. Y'all ROCK ... and then SOME! Another SHINING example of how us DIGI-SCRAPPING sisters stick together and help one another in a time of need - oh, it just SO warms my heart!

I should be posting about the same time tomorrow night. If not, perhaps a few hours later or if we are not home at a reasonable hour for me to begin, I will post early Sunday morning.

Sheila, your SUNRISE layout is AWESOME!!! Meta, your HAPPY HOLIDAYS card in both Dutch and English ROCKS! If I've missed anyone, please forgive me as I am going to post here on my blog those creations that I receive via e-mail or from links posted here. I hope to devote most of my week next week to making some changes and additions here so that I may showcase work using my designs!!! I am SO excited!!! It is still VERY surreal for me to see such BEAUTIFUL layouts, cards and such using items that I have made!!! Y'all ROCK and keep me inspired!!! THANK YOU ALL!

Until I can get it posted over on the right-hand side, you may e-mail me at: lindawalton@3scrapateers.com if you wish to share your WONDROUS works and/or have any questions, etc.

SWEET DREAMS everyone!

Hugs,
Linda

*WIN'TREE WEATHER* DAILY DOWNLOAD #7 AND MORE SPARLING FREEBIES!!!

>> Thursday, December 6, 2007

Y'all are a bunch of DIE HARDS in the GLITTER department, but HEY, I'm not complaining!!! I'm having just AS much FUN as y'all, if not MORE! ROFL! He, he ...

I'm making this short tonight (whoever believes that, raise your hand ... ha, ha, ha!). I am not feeling so great and had to leave my Digi-Scrap Addict's meeting a bit early tonight due to a Fibro flare-up after spending many hours cleaning house in preparation for some VERY special guests. Guess what? They had a change of plans!!! I don't blame them for the change, but I received the news at the last minute as I was scurrying around to finish up!

I always leave the floor for last as I get down on my hands and knees to scrub it by hand! Yes, yes, I guess I am a gluten for punishment, but this linoleum is SO old that a mop just does NOT do the job to satisfaction, KWIM? Again, living in the country, on DIRT (not a piece of concrete to be found except inside of the garage!) and having a house full of BIG boys, our floor does not stay clean for very long!!!

Whenever I start to complain about the dirt the boys bring in, I, once again, remind myself of the sweet little poem about letting the cob webs alone and spending time with my babies as they will soon enough be leaving the nest. At which time, I am sure that I, the sap that I am, will MISS their DIRT!!! (who ever believes THAT, please raise your hand!!!)

Anyhoo, our company will be arriving sometime tomorrow so I left the floor to do in the morning so that it will actually look clean! There is ALWAYS a method to the madness y'all!!!

Okay, I have much to cover tonight and SO little time. If I make any boo-boo's, please forgive me as my head is hurting right above my eyes. I'll be fine. It is a RARE thing for MWAH to get a headache so I'm not too concerned about it. I just finished up a two-day cleanse to detox my body and it will leave you feeling like you have the flu somtimes. I needed to detox badly and the product I use is obviously doing it's job! WOO HOO! This is actually the start of a 9-day cleansing and replenishing program as I am trying to overcome the horrific effects of a strong dosage of antibiotics I had to take before receiving dental treatment. Well, I know most of you are aware of the fact that antibiotics not only kill the "bad" bugs, but they also destroy your healthy intestinal flora. This has been a battle of mine for many years now and I am getting used to what I can and cannot eat, etc. Needless to say, seeing as how my body did NOT have an infection to be attacked with by the antibiotic, that tells us one thing, right? It did nothing but destroy what little healthy intestinal flora I had going for me at the time. I was just about on top of things to boot. So, I've told my dentist that I'm not going back in for further treatment until I am released by my doctor from having to be pre-medicated!

REAL short tonight, aren't I? Gosh y'all, better gag me after this one, eh? LOL!

Thank you to those that have e-mailed me or posted in your comment a link or file to your FABULOUS creations using the FREEBIES you have picked up from my blog. I will be tied up for a few days with company and a BIG family get-together, so I shall get back with you, hopefully, by Sunday. Next week, God willing, should not have me doing anything but concentrating on my designing, creating layouts and, of course, supplying y'all with MORE goodies and adding a few things to my blog ... such as an e-mail address where y'all can send me your PRETTIES!!!

Last and surely not the least, last night I had wanted to share something with you and YES, Ms. Elise, I am expecting ... y'all to come and join us in the 3Scrapateers chatroom on THIS coming Sunday, December 9th at 8:00 pm EST for our TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS CHALLENGES!!! You will have a chance to win a FABULOUS 3Scrapateers' CD collection, so come find out ALL about the CHALLENGES and how you might win!!!

*WIN'TREE WEATHER* DAILY DOWNLOAD #6 AND *HOLIDAY SPARKLE #11* - FREEBIES!!!

>> Wednesday, December 5, 2007

Well, today was officially GFIC swap day in my house!!! Yeah, you know those DELIGHTFUL , sometimes, trigger-happy units that keep us safe in the bathroom when using our hair dryers and such. I am EVER thankful for them, however, they have become quite the thorn in my side this past year as this is the second time to change this particular unit, which JUST happens to be on the same line as my computer!!! Needless to say, I was offline for the majority of the day awaiting Robert's arrival to change it as it would keep tripping and guess what? YUP, down would go my computer too! I've been meaning to order a battery backup for the longest time and somehow always forget about it once everything is hunky-dory again!!!

We live in a rented home and I won't go into the details, but lets just say that the largest portion of the house was an add-on and things just kinda seem to be "Jerry-rigged" as Robert calls it! I know the couple who used to own this home and who did all of the remodeling. We live in the country on two acres ... need I say more? ROFL!!!

All things considered, I am still VERY thankful for the home we are in as it holds LOTS of memories and does have some VERY positive attributes!!!

There's NO place like home .... even when it throws you some minor inconveniences! Whoa, wait a minute ... MINOR!!! Hmmm ... I honestly have to say that being without my computer is more of a MAJOR inconvenience!!! Still, I am EVER thankful for ALL things and for EVERYTHING there is a purpose - even though I may not see it at the moment!

I have something AWESOME to share with y'all, but will have to wait to post it tomorrow as I've worked hard to play a bit of catch-up and my eyes are WAY too tired! You will LOVE it, so please stay-tuned!

Below, you will find the link to the 3scrapateers' site to collect Day 6 of *Win'tree Weather* and tonight's FREEBIE, *Holiday Sparkle #11*!!!

I SOOOOO appreciate you leaving me some lovin' y'all!!! Y'all make my day and I SO enjoy reading each comment! I am SO thrilled to hear that you've been busy making cards and goodies to decorate your home for Christmas!!! Now, I need to get myself busy before the only holiday decor my family sees is right here on my computer screen!!! Hmmm .... that would surely make for LESS to take down and put away now wouldn't it? NAH .... half the FUN of Christmas is looking at all of the trimmings on the table, the sofa and THE FLOOR as we all decorate!!! I LOVE Christmas!!! Okey dokey, the RAMBLER is now leaving her blogspot!!!

Night all and may your dreams be of gold,
Linda

My BRAND new niece, Jayden Anise, born on Thanksgiving Day this year! Isn't she SWEET? Li'l angel!

I had WAY too much fun scrapping this layout today and I can't quite recollect the last time I had the pleasure of creating one!!! I miss my scrapping but I know that it will ALL come together in it's proper timing! Jayden's photo came from a mobile upload to Facebook, so you KNOW the quality is not that great. NO PROBLEMO - Virtual Photographer (DOWNLOAD FOR FREE HERE) to the RESCUE!!! I used the "Glamour" filter with a "subtle" setting, went back to Photoshop's filters and despeckled and then removed noise and I think it turned out pretty darn SWEET! It looks VERY soft ... just PERFECT for a PRECIOUS baby girl!

I encourage you to go and take a look at this SUPERBLY designed scrapkit, "BABY, BABY", created by one of our NEWEST designers and a VERY dear friend, Monna Lainson! Her inspiration for "BABY, BABY" came from a mutual friend/colleague at 3Scrapateers who has BOY/GIRL twins and has always had a difficult time trying to find scrapkits that she can use to scrap both of her babies. Monna has remedied the situation by bringing us a DARLING kit FULL of pinks and blues and even a few items that blend both colors together nicely with a touch of green and yellow. Well, y'all know me, I could go ON an ON about this, so HERE is the link for you to check it out yourselves! I will be sharing more layouts with you, hopefully this week and next, as I plan on making an album for my sister. I LOVE you sis and Jayden is just SO beautiful - just like her mama!!! Please send MORE photos!
