september blog train has arrived ... be inspired!

>> Sunday, September 2, 2012

It is September already!  Only four more months until the beginning of a brand new year.  I am repeating those words as I type for I can hardly believe that my favorite time of the year is nearly here!  Fall.  Love it! Can you tell I'm getting older?  He, he ...

What better time for another fabulous blog train than as we near the end of summer.  Kiddos are back-to-school, temperatures are slowly declining (jumping up and down this side of the screen) and y'all are most likely preparing your scrapbooking schedule for the fall and winter months, aren't you?  Yes, I am sure that y'all are more organized than I am!  *smile*

September's blog train theme is, *Inspire Me*.  My contribution this ride reflects a few of the things that have been inspiring me this summer, especially now that I am back in my designer chair.  *squee*  Music, flowers and the latest trending shape, hexagons have all kept my eyes and ears quite busy lately!  I will share more about all of that next post.

I hope that you are enjoying your ride through Scrapland and please do come back and visit me next week, sometime after Labor Day.

I will have a couple of extra goodies to add to *Inspire Me*, that I truly hope will inspire you!

Have a safe and fun Labor Weekend everyone here in the USA!

You should have found your way here from:  Trixie Scraps Designs

If you've lost your way or wish to see the slideshow and/or the entire list of participating designers, then head on over to The Blog Train Blog.

Reminder:  There are designers participating from all across the globe, so please try to give a full 24-48 hours for everyone to post their goodies before giving up!  I'm late this time around and I know that sometimes things happen between getting files uploaded and working properly or even finding something out of kilter and needing to fix it before posting!  Thank you for your patience and I'm sure you'll enjoy my instant download.  *big smile*

Here is a peek at my part of *Inspire Me*:

Sorry, this link has expired.  You can find it in my shop sometime on or about the 15th of October :)

Thank you for stopping in and I hope that you enjoy your goodies today :)

Bon Scrapatit!

If you like what you see, I would love for you to share with others using the social
media buttons below, so that they can all come directly to download too!  You can even
pin my preview to Pinterest now!  My new favorite place to browse for all kinds of
inspiration.  What a great place to collect recipes too!

july 2012 blog train ... summer, july and camp are here!!!

>> Sunday, July 1, 2012

Summer is in full swing here in Copperopolis, California, home to the beautiful Lake Tulloch!
Temperatures have been soaring across the USA and, would you believe, the West Coast is the only area not affected at this time!  So unusual, but I am not complaining ... promise.  This California girl likes her days on the cool side.  Is my age showing?  *wink*
Hoping to find all is well with everyone!  I have missed you.  Life has truly been on this side of crazy!  *sigh*
My thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the horrific fires in Colorado.  What devastation.  I can only hope that the brave and amazing teams of firefighters will get everything under control as fast as is humanly possible.

Today, is the first day of July and the departure of the July Blog Train!  Y'all will be happy campers as you follow the train through Scrapland, filling your hard drives with summer scrapping pleasure! *smile*
*Camp* will find you preserving family camping trips to the lake, the mountains and the ocean.  Scout camps, summer camps, reunions, day hikes, youth groups and more will be beautifully preserved!  Ready to get your scrap on?  Climb on board!  Here we go ...

You may have found your way here to Bon Scrapatit Designs by way of:

Your next stop down the track might find you fishing for some cleverly created designs by:

If you lose your way or wish to get back to the main listing of all participating designers:

We have over 70 designers from around the world contributing to *Camp*!  Remember to allow at least 24 hours for everyone to have their portion of the train posted due to different time zones. I've already spied a few things I wish to add to my stash for some of my summer scrapping!  *Squee*

I am thrilled each time I get to sign up for another train ride through my most favorite place online - Scrapland!  My home away from home while still at home!  *He, he ...*

Here is my contribution:

Sorry, these links have expired.  Look for kit in my shop soon!

Come back to visit Bon Scrapatit Designs on Tuesday, July 3rd for a sweet little coordinating cluster that will also show you the inspiration behind the tire swing, or as we called them back in the day, inner tubes!

may 2012 blog train ... "a royal wedding"!

>> Tuesday, May 1, 2012

All aboard!

Okay.  Y'all have already boarded and where was I?  Too horrifying to recount so I'll spare you and me the horrid details.  *sigh*

I've held up the train long enough so I'll simply apologize for the chain of events that threw a wrench in my blogging roll!  *argh*  I am so sorry everybody!!!

I lost three things - my blog post (ouch, and you should be able to here this cry on the other side of the globe), our electricity and as a result of that sweet little adventure, some templates I had been working on!   I am desperately in need of a battery backup.  I think this is the only important facet of safekeeping that I've neglected for the past seven years!

With all of that behind me, I say, "good morning y'all"!  Happy Hump Day!  Hope you are having a fabulous time making your way through Scrapland and admiring all of the delicious goodness awaiting your digital and hybrid memories,.  *smile*

You may have arrived here at Bon Scrapatit Designs from:

Your next stop will be at:

Virginia State of Mind Designs (I'm betting this lovely lady lives in Virginia.  Whatcha think?  *He, he*)

If you've lost your way or are not able to find what you are looking for, stop by the Blog Train Blog for the entire list of links for all participating designers plus a lovely slideshow of what's on board May's train ride:

We realize that it is difficult to leave comments for all 77 participating designers on our personal blogs, even though you know we love it!   If you are pressed for time, you can always leave a thank you with Trish and Tanya on the Blog Train Blog!  XO

Lest I forget, my little mini-kit includes just about everything in the four colors I chose to focus on from the color palette!  The King and Queen journal cards and frames come in four colors.  One set includes a coordinating color border on the inside and I've also included a plain frame.  If you wish to add the colored border, all you need do is to layer the plain white frame on top of anyone of the King/Queen frames with border and clip/merge them together and voila!

I'm hoping to create a couple of scrapatits and a few more flowers to coordinate.  Once I got going, I was finding it difficult to stop!  This is a good thing y'all!  It means my mojo is kicking in and I'm having fun!  LOL!

Here is a preview of what you will be getting here at Bon Scrapatit Designs for this month's festive theme, *A Royal Wedding*:

Sorry, links have expired and will be added to my shop soon - thanks for stopping in!

Thank you all so very for your continued support of Bon Scrapatit Designs and I wish
you to know how much I appreciate and enjoy reading all of the comments you leave when
downloading.  The digital scrapbooking community is the most incredible place on
the Internet!  Besides preserving our most precious and priceless memories, we develop
strong ties and long-lasting friendships based primarily on our common interests.  How
much better does it get than that!  *big grin*

"winter refresh" is here! are you digging it?

>> Wednesday, January 4, 2012

Grandma's precious little snowbabe, Katelyn Rose at 16 months

Woot, woot ... YEAH!  I made it y'all!

I am posting my preview image and download link for *Winter Refresh* both here and on my prior post.  I just realized that my image will not get picked up on the original January 2012 Blog Train departure post because I had no link attached at the time of posting!  *Oops*

I know that not all of us are experiencing winter at this time, though most of those who visit me are indeed!  So, are you digging it?  LOL!  My thought in asking that particular question is, "Are any of you having to dig your way out of the snow to get to work, take the kids to school, go shopping, etc.?"

We have been very cold here in Northern California with no snow.  Not even a drop of rain since winter officially set in!  However, three of my boys that just left for North Dakota on the 28th of December are finding a bit of a climate change in their new home.  It's been down in the teens with snow.  Brr.

When I thought about our blog theme this month, I could feel the cold air engulfing me as I step out onto our deck.  REFRESH!  There are so many ways for us to refresh ourselves and one of my favorites is to cool down.  Whether it be stepping outside into the brisk air or rinsing off with cold water before stepping out of the shower, I find it so very invigorating!  *smile*

What is your favorite way to refresh yourself?

I hope you find *Winter Refresh* useful for some of your winter scrapping.  The included word art is made up of words that come to mind when I think of how wintertime might refresh us.  *wink*

Again, I apologize for the delay in posting my part of the January 2012 Blog Train.  My computer has just not been cooperating with me and now that I have a few days that will be fairly light-duty, I shall finally be able to set up my new computer that has been sitting here for two weeks!  Nothing techie and new has ever sat that long without me getting my hands on it immediately, so that gives you an idea of how full my days have been!  LOL!  I am sure that y'all can relate, especially this time of the year.

I hope the new year has started out well for everyone and that 2012 brings to each of us all that matters most!  *big smile*

Sorry, this link has expired.  Will be in my shop soon!

the january 2012 blog train has departed!

>> Sunday, January 1, 2012

Happy New Year y'all!!!

Hope everyone ringing in the New Year last night made some incredible memories with those who matter most! *big smile*

I can't think of a better way to start off your new digiscrapping year than with The January 2012 Blog Train, which has already departed and shall be making it's way through Scrapland (across the globe) today!  *Refresh* is a perfect theme for day one of 2012, don't you think?

How are you starting out 2012?  Scrap it for the first page of your annual album if that is how you document  your family heritage.  Or, perhaps, you scrap an "all about me" album each year!  Whatever your system, don't forget you!  And, I am talking right at myself on this one!  *wink*

My post will be later than anticipated and for that I sincerely apologize, but it will be here!  IT'S HERE!  *Phew*

Between technical difficulties (my very slow and misbehaving computer), saying good-bye to three of my four sons (sons #1, #2 and #3 have moved from here in Northern California to North Dakota!) and a surprise visit from two of my stepsons (remember Wyatt and Garrett?), it's been just a wee bit wild!

You should have arrived here at Bon Scrapatit Designs from:

Your next delightful stop will be:

In the event you lose your way or wish to see the entire list of participating designers and/or view the slideshow:

How awesome of so many wonderful designers to contribute to the back-to-back trains we're having to end 2011 and welcome 2012!  Please leave them some love!

I will post a new title with a link to this one in the event my feed has already been burned so that y'all will know I've posted my part.  Remember to allow at least 24 hours for everyone to have posted as we have designers from all around the world participating!

Enjoy your first day of 2012 and get your scrap on!

Sorry, this link has expired.  Will be in my shop soon!

holiday traditions ... dec 2011 blog train has departed!

>> Thursday, December 1, 2011

This was the first time all six of my children were together at our home in just a little over
two years.  I am so hoping that we are all able to follow through with our bi-annual
gatherings, *sigh*  It surely does a Mama's heart good.  Speaking of which, I need to
work on a plan to visit my mama!  Just in case you see this Mom, I love and miss you
dearly and I really do hope to see you soon - XOXO
Hi y'all!

Happy December and here we go, continuing the holiday season!!!  Hope everyone here in the states had a fabulous Thanksgiving no matter where you were or who you were with.  *smile*

Extra blessings were flowing this year as my daughters flew in from Washington (with grandson, Henry, in utero and my darling granddaughter, Katelyn, whom I've not seen for nearly 1-1/2 years!) and Matt, my oldest son, met up with my oldest daughter and her husband,  having come in from Dutch Harbor, Alaska and spending a few days with them,  then finding an extra seat on the same flight here to California!  Smooth move *happy dance*

I apologize for being a wee bit late.  I decided to scrap a layout using my mini-kit contribution for this month's blog train and it was a good thing I did!  I had a plan for that  P.R.I.C.E.L.E.S.S. tag and it was no where to be found - ROFL!  Argh!  Ah, yah, how about getting a little sleep there Linda.  An oxygen deprived brain is not the best way to get 'er done!  He, he ...

You should be coming in this afternoon (evening, night or morning too :) from ...

Your next stop on this amazing digital scrapbooking train is ...

If you are following the list from (or just in case you get lost along the way) ...
THE BLOG TRAIN BLOG ... well, then you are a little over three-quarters of the way through this massive haul with 90 designers contributing!  *Woot, woot ... yeah!*  You can also take a peek at all of the contributions on The Blog Train Blog's lovely slideshow!

I know it is a long ride and as always, please give it at least a full 24 hours for everyone to get their files uploaded and links posted as we are participating from all across the globe *big grin*

For those who might remember me (LOL!), I am finally gifting myself with a new computer this Christmas as I struggle to get anything accomplished with only 3 GBs of RAM powering PSCS 4!  Can we say S.L.OW.?  I will catch you up just as soon as humanly possible and I even have some photos to share.  *Yay*

I will also be adding some journal strips and/or word art and a few more embellishments to *{Holiday} Traditions* over the course of the next week.  You would think that the kiddos all dressed especially for this color palette, but they did not.  Imagine my surprise when I started working with the group photo, which I did not have time to enhance as I had hoped to, and realized they all coordinated with *{Holiday} Traditions*!  Outstanding *big smile*  So, naturally, I am going to scrap some of our Thanksgiving photos!

I did alter the hue of the blue jeans a bit to better match the blue in the palette *wink*

We are doubling up the end of this year and will have another train ride come January 1st!  Yahoo!  Lots of scrap happiness to end 2011 and to begin 2012 with!  Sweet!

A personal high-five and thank you goes out to Trish Heffner, our dearly beloved Blog Train Coordinator, who keeps this train on track and has been doing so now for 3-4 years.  You are more than amazing sweet lady and I look forward to another year of train rides through Scrapland!

Here is my preview of *{Holiday} Traditions*:

Sorry, these links have expired and will be added to my shop soon!

Now, I have but one request ... *Get your scrap on!*

Stay happy, keep on scrapping and I'll see you soon ...

Thank you for stopping in!

If you read my post from yesterday evening, you will have already seen a sneak-peek of my theme and contribution!  My baby girl (oldest daughter, April) is having a *Bundle of Baby Boy Joy*!  Little Henry Richard is due to make his debut into the world January 21, 2012 and things are getting very exciting for both the first-time parents-to-be and the rest of the family!  *squee*

the august blog train has arrived! get "a fresh start" to your day, week and month of scrapping ...

>> Monday, August 1, 2011

Happy Monday, happy first day of August and all aboard y'all!

You might be arriving here at Bon Scrapatit Designs, #99 by way of  Keep In Touch Designs who is #98 on this month's "open themed" blog train!  Yes, you read correctly.  It was a free for all for the first time to my knowledge and a total of 100 designers have all taken one palette to create their digitally delicious goodies for your downloading pleasure!  You are truly in for a treat!  *smile*

I'm going to keep this short and sweet to keep the train moving steadily and, hopefully, smoothly down The Blog Train track!  LOL!

Here is a preview of my contribution.  It's called *A New Start*.  I had a bit of difficulty in coming up with a name, but after coming across my sister-in-law Corinne's photo, things began to fall into place when I saw her always fresh smile and the reason why she rooms with us part-time!

As always, I look forward to your feedback!  You will find my download link now gives you access to all zip files in one file location so I only need post one link here for you!  *Yay*   I have a little add-on that I will post once the traffic has tapered off a wee bit so as to avoid any confusion.  Uhm, yup, that would mostly be on my part! *wink*

Your next and final stop is at Mommyish

Please, please try your best to leave a little thank you for the designers you download from.  I understand you have lots of stops to make and I'd just like to remind y'all that each designer spends quite a bit of time creating her contribution, then sorting and packing it all up, uploading it and then creating a blog post and testing links.  It surely does each one of those 100 hearts good to read a thank you from y'all!

Just in case you jump the track and/or need to return to the complete list of participating blogs, here is The Blog Train Blog!  While you are there, leave Trish a little thank you too for heading up this faithfully departing bi-monthly train!  MWAH!  Y'all rock ... and then some!  Oh, and if you are new to hopping aboard the blog train and find some blogs not hooked up yet, please give them a little time as there are huge differences in some of our time zones across the globe.  Also, for anyone who possibly has any difficulty downloading; i.e, incomplete downloads or not wanting to download for you at all, give it about 24 hours.  I like to compare blog trains to commute hour traffic on the freeway!  LOL!  Sometimes there are just too many people attempting to download a link at once!  Hope this helps y'all a bit.

See you soon and remember:  It is scrap-happy hour 24/7 in Scrapland y'all!  *big smile*

Sorry, this link has expired

"monkeying around" ... june blog train goodies are up! yay!

>> Wednesday, June 1, 2011

Happy 1st day of June y'all!

I am so, so sorry for being so late in getting my goodies posted for the June Blog Train, *Monkeying Around*!  I have been up for two days straight (no sleep, not even a cat nap), trying to get everything ready to upload.  ROFL!  Please don't ask (I'm sure you won't!), but it's just been one little thing after another.  My computer is being backed up and I had maxed out my RAM so it was painstakingly slow in getting all the files finalized, together, TOU prepped, etc.

I was supposed to remove *The Wild Ones* yesterday, however, due to my tardiness, I am going to leave it up until tomorrow (preview and link can be found on my sidebar to your right) in the event there is anyone who still wishes to download it.  Those of you who have already downloaded and left me feedback, a thank you or some love, thank you so much!  Appreciated more than you can know ... or, perhaps, you do know!

Before I post the pertinent info for the blog train, I just have to tell you before I forget!  Today is my fourth anniversary as a digital scrapbooking designer!  Woot, woot ... yeah!  It is difficult to believe that I have been blogging  and giving away goodies for almost four years!  My blogoversary is near the end of August and I hope to hoop it up real good with y'all this year!

Okies, without further ado my wonderful and patient friends, here's the official blog train scoop!

You should be arriving here from:

Angel Hartline Designs (unless you've popped back over to see if I've posted yet! *smile*)

In checking Angel's link, she still has not posted so make sure to head back over in a day or two.

You are now at Bon Scrapatit Designs and your next stop on this fun and exciting train ride is:

Chocolate Geranium Digital Designs (this still sounds delicious as I'm a bit behind on eating as well!)

Linnie has posted!

Please take a moment to say, "thank you" to all of the amazing designers who have contributed to this month's blog train.  Everyone works hard to make this happen, especially our fabulous conductor, Trish Heffner.  You can give her a heartfelt thank you right here on the Blog Train Blog, which is also where you will find all 90+ links of the contributing designers starting with hers!

Once again, I thank you for your patience is awaiting my post.  Y'all rock ... and then some!

Here is my preview: (I didn't have a chance to add my customary grunge splats/splatters.  I will be posting a little add-on to this in the next day or two.  I also have some more word art to go along with it too!  Believe this or not, I am not really a theme designer and I continue these trains because the color palettes and themes keep me challenged!  For that I thank Trish immensely as she continues to dedicate herself to keeping this train on the track, even though a few of us have attempted to derail it from time-to-time.  Sorry Trish, if you happen by, I promise I was not *Monkeying Around*, but I'll be a monkey's uncle (like that could really every happen, eh?  he, he ...) if technology did not start monkeying around with me a few days ago, causing some unexpected monkey business to happen this side of the screen!  I honestly cannot say that it was more fun than a barrel of monkeys having a monkey wrench thrown into the mix and then having a monkey on my back when trying to follow a schedule and catch a train on time!  LOL!  Gee, you don't suppose I've actually learned a thing or two in the process of preparing for this train, do you?  *grin*

Enough of my rambling.  Y'all could probably give a monkey's! *wink*

MWAH!  Have fun ...

Uploading my freebies to Sky Drive is giving you a direct download and no more frustration in waiting for 4-shared.  In doing so, I no longer have any way to track how many downloads I receive, which helps me to know what you like and what you don't!  I simply ask that you leave a quick thank you either in the comments section here on my blog (not the one on Sky Drive!) or in the chat box as a form of feedback.

Thank you and Bon Scrapatit!

Welcome to 2011 everyone!  My wish, hope and prayer for everyone is that the new year find y'all experiencing even more love, joy, laughter and success than the past year!

Thank you for your continued support of my determination this past year to keep on designing no matter what obstacles have come my way and I am looking forward to a bright and beautiful new year filled with endless possibilities and hope that you are as well!

I cannot think of a better way for Scrapland to start off 2011 than with another amazing blog train hosted by one incredibly lovely lady, who never disappoints us with a fabulous color palette and theme bi-monthly, Trish Heffner, owner of Enchanted Studio Scraps!

You should have found your way here from Darlene Designs

I hope you left Darlene a lovely note of thanks and there are still a few snags in the blog list, as some designers have not been able to make it and have been removed, which sometimes causes the train to jump the track, but nothing we cannot have fixed in the first day or two!  With that said, I am not quite sure how you've arrived at Bon Scrapatit Designs!  LOL!

Remember that we have over 100 designers participating from all over the globe, so if you don't find a blog ready to download from, try again later.  Everyone should be up and running within 24 hours.

Here is what awaits you at each train station ... er, uhm ... I mean designer blog! *smile*

I may sound redundant but I always wait out the first week to do any downloading as it cuts down on the traffic overload for 4-shared, which is who most of us use for our zip files, and then I am not faced with time-outs and/or incomplete downloads, which we all know can be frustrating!

Your next stop on this beautiful heritage train ride is my long-time designer colleague and beautiful friend from across the pond, Vicki of A Work in Progress!  Please leave her some love for the both of us! *wink*

Here is the link to The Blog Train Blog in the event you are lost, or wish to see the entire list of blogs participating this trip!  While you are there, why not join me in giving Trish a heartfelt thank you for her dedication, time and hard work in keeping this train on schedule every other month for the past several years!

My preview for my contribution to *Grandma's Quilt* with download links beneath.  I always try to keep each link under 30 MBs for those with a slower Internet connection and/or limitations.  This time, I am also adding one link as well for those who have the ability and/or prefer to download all in one fell swoop!

May this be your scrap-happiest year ever!

july blog train is truly a "picnic in the park"!

>> Thursday, July 1, 2010

Happy first day of July y’all!  WOOT, WOOT!  Or is that, TOOT, TOOT?  All aboard!  The July 2010 Blog Train has departed and is now making it’s way through Scrapland and bringing y’all an abundance of summer scrapping goodness!
LLW_PicnicInThePark_Preview-1

I have missed you all the past month-and-a-half!  How is everyone?  Ready for summer?  How about a special *Picnic in the Park* with that someone special?  Better yet, how about a big family get-together in the park?  By the lake?  In the mountains?  On the beach?

I’ve lots to share with y’all, but will do so another post so as not to bog down the train!  LOL!  Life has been crazy busy and I am just SO sure y’all can relate to that, eh?

As with each blog train, we have designers posting from all around the globe so, please, give it at least  24 hours for all contributions to be posted and ready for your downloading pleasure.  *Hint* – if you experience trouble with links not downloading or not downloading completely, you might wish to wait a bit and try again later.  Glitches happen when many are downloading at the same time.  I typically wait several days to a week before collecting the goodies I want so as not to run into traffic!  Ah, yes, there is a method to the madness y’all! *wink*

Funny thought.  If our hard drives were human-like, can’t you just imagine the stress and anxiousness they would be feeling as we prepare to fatten them up with our delightfully delicious freebie finds?  ROFL! :D
You should be arriving from Queen Pamedalah’s blog: http://www.pamedalah.blogspot.com
If you’ve come another way and/or are lost, check out the Blog Train Blog for a complete list of all 100+ talented designers participating!

Your next stop is at Paper Planes Designs: http://paperplanesdesigns.blogspot.com
Here is a lovely slideshow of each participating designer’s contribution:  (A BIG shout out of thanks to Trish Heffner, owner/designer at  Enchanted Studio Scraps, for her continuous dedication in keeping this MOST amazing blog train running smoothly bi-monthly, as well as for her time and efforts in putting together our slideshow!  Thank you, thank you!)

Before I post the links for my portion of *Picnic in the Park*, I have a preview of a little add-on that I will be posting for y’all next week before I leave to visit my girls:
LLW_PicnicInThePark_Preview-2

It has felt SO good to do a bit of designing again.  I simply cannot believe it has been two months since I last brought you goodies!  That is just NOT right!  LOL!

Stay-tuned tomorrow (Friday) as I have an exciting announcement to make and I’m pretty sure I’ll have a little something extra for you too! *big grin*

Take care and Bon Scrapatit!

Lots of love,

Linda :D
